Cervix Dilation

Cervix dilation is performed with a D&E, and is not associated with lichen sclerosis, or a routine pap smear. In general it is a very safe procedure and has been performed for many years. After it complications are possible: bleeding or (in rare cases) perforation of the uterus. The procedure can be performed in the office with or without anesthesia.
