Cervical Mucus Pregnancy

Cervical mucus pregnancy may be life-threatening as well as untreated cervical dysplasia caused by cancerous HPV viral strains. The condition occurs when the fertilized egg implants in tissue outside the uterus and the fetus begins to develop there. This may be caused by obstructions or slow passage of a fertilized egg through the Fallopian tube to the uterus, which are the results of previous tubal infection. Cervical mucus pregnancy may be life-threatening as well as untreated cervical dysplasia caused by cancerous HPV viral strains.

Women who use progestrone-bearing IUDs have an increased risk and the “morning after pills” fail to prevent conceiving, which increases the risk 10 times. This condition can lead to internal bleeding and shock. It cannot continue to term and should be removed to save the woman’s life.
