Cervical Warts

Cervical warts are not related to verruca or lichen sclerosis, they are in fact different strains of HPV. Regular PAP smears are necessary to detect the condition. In women the virus invades the vagina and cervix and can lead to precancerous changes. This disease is caused by human papilloma virus (HPV) that grows well in the moist genital area. There may be no symptoms, but treatment is necessary to avoid complication and spreading the condition to others. The term refers to soft wart-like growths on the menís or womenís genitals caused by a viral skin disease, transmitted via sexual intercourse.
