Cervical Screening Programme

A cervical screening programme can detect verruca or ASCUS. However since they carry the virus, they are still susceptible to other strains. Once this immunity is achieved, then they cannot be reinfected, nor transmit this particular strain. Approximately 34% of women achieve immunity to abnormal cells of the cervix within 9-18 months. A cervical screening programme can detect verruca or ASCUS.
