Cervical Cytology

Cervical cytology is used for pap screening, and for condyloma, which may be related to miscarriage. The see-and –treat approach is based on the results of the research. It can be changed to histologic diagnostic. The results tend to an underestimate the severity of CIN. These studies have a high sensitivity for CIN but a low specificity for determining its grade. Condyloma, Miscarriage

This procedure may instigates colposcopy, diagnostic conization, or both. Errors of diagnoses occur in 1/2-9% of the cases. Procedure for detecting various abnormalities in the vagina (ASCUS, AGUS, LSIL, LGSIL, mild dysplasia, CIN grade I and many others).
