Cervixcancer (Cervical Cancer) can be prevented with regular pap smear tests, an early reading of ASCUS on the pap smear can usually be successfully treated. The main cause of this condition is Human papillomavirus, which is sexually transmitted. Pap smear test allows to detect the problem on the early and the most treatable stage. Minor abnormalities often heal on their own, especially in young girls, but advanced stages need immediate treatment.
