A cervix coloscopy and biopsy is used to diagnose cervical abnormalities that may be caused by lichen sclerosis and especially venereal wart viruses. After a positive Pap smear test it is important to discover the nature of the problem and to locate the abnormal tissues. During this exam the doctor can examine the patientís genitals closely with a help of a colposcope. It shines a bright light and magnifies the view.
