Severe Displasia

In treatment of severe displasia (dysplasia) a LEEP procedure offers reduced risk of associated vulvar vestibulitis as compared to cryosurgery. For any stage of the disease it is very important to have regular checkings to make sure it doesn't become cervical cancer. The disorder is more likely to develop in women who have multiple sexual partners and began sexual activity early. In treatment of severe displasia (dysplasia) a LEEP procedure offers reduced risk of associated vulvar vestibulitis as compared to cryosurgery.

LEEP Procedure, Vulvar Vestibulitis

In high-grade form of the disease bleeding during or after intercourse is possible. It may be treated with a cone biopsy, which is the removal of a cone-shaped piece of the cervix, made with a knife, cautery, laser, or wire loop. The procedure allows patients to have babies in the future. In treatment of severe displasia (dysplasia) a LEEP procedure offers reduced risk of associated vulvar vestibulitis as compared to cryosurgery.
