Squamous Dysplasia

Cervical squamous dysplasia is treatable and is sometimes accompanied by infections such as vulvar vestibulitis, and can be treated by the LEEP procedure. To prevent this condition it is important to have checks regularly. Poor nutrition and prenatal DES exposure also add to the risk. The risk factors are multiple sexual partners that increase the possibility of getting HPV and cigarette smoking that weakens the immune system. This condition is often caused by HPV infections, which is sexually transmitted.
