Mild Cervical Displasia

A mild cervical displasia cannot be the reason for lichen sclerosus; cone biopsy is performed only for severe cases. There is no treatment against HPV found yet. Smoking and poor nutrition add to the risk of developing this condition. The virus is generally obtained through sexual contact, especially if you have multiple partners and have began sexual intercourse at an early age. Lichen Sclerosus, Cone Biopsy

Moderate and severe cases should be treated when they are discovered. Up to 70% of women with this condition have the immune system strong enough to fight off the virus. It is not a true premalignant disease, it is just a tissue response to the HPV virus.
