With hpv colposcopy it is possible to diagnose abnormal tissues on the cervix; it can be vaginosis, verruca, warts, etc. Abnormal areas are seen as white and no light can pass through them. The procedure is performed with a large electric microscope with a bright light on the end, which makes it possible to visualize the surface of the cervix.
