Dysplasia Cervical

When diagnosed with genital dysplasia, cervical located cell abnormalities are present and are caused by the HPV wart viruses that only develop on the cervix tissue. Most cases of the disorder regress on their own, without treatment, especially in young women. The only way to prevent cervical cancer is to have Pap smears annually. It takes several years for cancer of the cervix to develop, so it can be detected easily from a Pap smear.
