A cervix dysplacia is often the result of HPV, after treatment of severe cases, lichen sclerosis is possible. It can take many years for cancer to develop, but immediate treatment is necessary. Mild forms of this disease can regress on their own, but moderate and severe stages are less likely to self-resolve and can turn into cervical invasive cancer. The virus can cure by its own only if the immune system of a patient is rather strong. The main cause of this condition is some types of human papillomavirus, which is sexually transmitted. This term is used to describe the appearance of the abnormal cells on the cervical surface. A cervix dysplacia is often the result of HPV, after treatment of severe cases, lichen sclerosis is possible.
