All cervical and dsyplasia problems can be detected during a colposcopy exam performed on the cervix. In very severe cases, hysterectomy (removing of the uterus) may be necessary. Moderate and severe stages can lead to invasive cancer and immediate treatment is necessary. It can be electrocauterization or LEEP, cryosurgery and cryocauterization, laser vaporization or ablation and cone biopsy.
