Atypia Pap Smear

Atypia pap smear doesn't necessarily mean cervical dysplasia, but careful monitoring is important for preventing cervical cancer. Colposcopy and biopsy are often performed to remove abnormalities from the surface of the cervix. If the test is positive, it should be repeated or the doctor may want to look at your cervix more closely with a help of a colposcope.
