Leep Procedure

Leep procedure, laser surgery or cryosurgery, are all treatments for dysplasia; cryotherapy may require more surface applications. Electrocauterization or loop electrosurgical excision is used for treatment of moderate cervical dysplasia. Low-voltage, high-frequency radio waves go through a loop of wire, and electrical current cuts abnormal tissues away. The operation is quick and safe, it takes about 20 minutes and is performed in the office. Leep procedure, laser surgery or cryosurgery, are all treatments for dysplasia; cryotherapy may require more surface applications.
