Irregular Pap Smear

Receiving an irregular pap smear result may indicate the presence of the human papilloma virus, that is a contributing factor in infertility. The main aim of this test is to detect precancerous conditions, such as cervical dysplasia, ASCUS, AGUS, various infections and HPV. The role of this test is great, because it is the only way to prevent cancer, which has no symptoms on early stages. Receiving an irregular pap smear result may indicate the presence of the human papilloma virus, that is a contributing factor in infertility.

After several abnormal tests colposcopy and biopsy are usually done to determine the nature of the problem and the location of affected tissue. If the affected area is not very large, it can be treated by biopsy or LEEP during the same visit. Receiving an irregular pap smear result may indicate the presence of the human papilloma virus, that is a contributing factor in infertility.
