Cervical Cancer And Adenocarcinoma

Cervical cancer and adenocarcinoma, (almost all prostate cancers are adenocarcinoma)may be detected with a pap smear that results in an ASCUS reading, usually caused by human papilloma virus. This type accounts for about 10% of cases. It starts in the inner part of the cervix. There are several other types of malignancies that occur in the cervix; the most common type is squamous cell carcinoma, accounting for about 85% of all malignancies. Cervical cancer and adenocarcinoma, (almost all prostate cancers are adenocarcinoma)may be detected with a pap smear that results in an ASCUS reading, usually caused by human papilloma virus.

It arises in the outer area of the cervix, which protrudes into the vagina. There also exist mixed types adenosquamous and glassy cell malignancies. All of them are asymptomatic on the earliest stages and may develop from minor disorders, such as dysplasia or ASCUS.
