Vaccine Cervical Cancer

Preventive vaccine, cervical cancer HPV related, is in the future, treatment for verruca and other genital wart is now available. Testing for cancerous cells of the cervix is done through a Pap smear. It is important for every woman to have her annual exam to detect any symptoms of future cancerous tissue or cells. After the age of 30 a combination Pap smear and HPV test should be performed. Early detection of abnorman cells is very important and treatment much depends on it. Many women infected with one of HPV strains achieve immunity to it within 9-18 months. Once this immunity is achieved, then they cannot be reinfected, nor transmit this particular strain.
