To avert developing cancer (cervical) smoking abstinence is critical, also a routine Pap smear, and any vaginal wart removed. Second only to chemotherapy as damaging to the immune system is smoke. Smokers, whom are HPV carriers, are at higher risk of developing carcinoma of the cervix because their immune systems arenít strong enough to block cell advancement before they can mutate into carcinoma.
