Birth Control Pill Cervical Cancer

For women who take birth control pill, cervical cancer is a risk as is one who has sex with a partner having a penile wart or verruca. Past or current use of combination oral contraceptives prevents uterine (endometrial adenocarcinoma) forms of the disease. For these patients the relative risk for developing malignant tumor is 0.5. But it has the opposite effect on other kinds of malignant tumors. For women who take birth control pill, cervical cancer is a risk as is one who has sex with a partner having a penile wart or verruca.

Penile Wart, Verruca

Women who are positive for the STI human papillomavirus (HPV) could be at up to three times greater risk of developing malignancies if they have used pills for five years or longer. But there is no evidence that long-term pills use increases the risk in women who donít have HPV.
