Causes Of Cervical Cancer

Some causes of cervical cancer can be indicated by a history of a genital wart or abnormal cells of the cervix. Pelvic examinations, including PAP smear should be taken regularly. To reduce the chances of getting the disease women should take the following measures: avoid sexual activity before 18 years old, avoid promiscuous partners or use condoms, and discontinue any tobacco use. Some causes of cervical cancer can be indicated by a history of a genital wart or abnormal cells of the cervix.

Women over 35, women who had multiple sexual partners or a history of HPV or genital warts, women taking oral contraceptives are at risk. Precancers are completely curable when followed up properly. Infections with HPV cause dysplasia, which can lead to development of abnormal tissues. Some causes of cervical cancer can be indicated by a history of a genital wart or abnormal cells of the cervix.
