Colposcopy Instrumentation
With special colposcopy instrumentation it is possible to see changes in the cervix that can lead to miscarriage, cervical cancer and other disorders lest not treated.
The samples are then further examined by a lab using a high-powered microscope. Using this instrument with the abnormal areas observable by the light, a large needle or small biopsy forceps are then used to remove small tissue samples from the abnormal areas.
